First Artist Announcements for BTC All Dayer

We’re really excited to announce the first wave of artists to perform on Saturday 25th April, with many more still to come!

Sleep’s Cousin

Today we’re revealing the first 15 artists on the line up. Indie slowcore band Eve’s Delight will play a stripped back acoustic duo set, full of echoey guitar and warm, nostalgic vocals. Ipswich indie musician Sam Milne and his band The Tyrants opened Brighten The Corners Festival on the Cornhill stage last year and have been playing sell-out shows ever since.

Norwich-born singer-songwriter I Am Afiyah, who has been described by The Line of Best Fit as “indie-emo-soul”, also joins the line up. Norwich rapper Sleep’s Cousin, who’s making waves on the UK rap scene, will be performing brand new material joined by guest DJ Smithwoodwest. Plus Ipswich-born and raised alternative r&b and hip hop artist Ryski.

Also announced today are alt-folk newcomer Arthur Black, indie rock band Chance For Good (fka Helix), alt rock five-piece Chest, atmospheric experimental duo The Feathered Thorns, experimental indie rock five-piece Dream Houses, lo-fi artist 1lemon, folk duo The Rabbitts, Colchester math rock band Rad Pitt, indie folk artist Samuel Taylor, and many more to be announced soon.

The Rabbitts

New Gen, a free music project for young people aged 13-19 delivered in partnership with Brighten The Corners and Ipswich Community Media, will be performing at Superdry featuring a showcase of group and solo performances. The Superdry stage, based in the Buttermarket, is being taken over by one of our other youth projects Tune Up, where the current group of 16-25 year olds have been involved in programming, production and marketing of the venue as part of the festival.

New Gen

Taking place on Saturday 25th April, the festival is free to attend thanks to funding from Ipswich Central, the Business Improvement District (BID), and will be across the heart of the town-centre. From pubs to community hubs, you’ll find music and art across seven fantastic venues: Three Wise Monkeys, CHIp Studios, Arcade Tavern, Halberd Inn, Thomas Wolsey Pub, the empty Superdry unit in the Buttermarket, and our own The Church.

A big thank you to Ipswich Central, our headline sponsor, and to Arts Council England, PRS Foundation, and University of Suffolk for their support in bringing this celebration to life.
