Brighten The Corners Presents The Nightingales at The Church on Bank Holiday Monday 29th March 2027.
As witnessed in Stewart Lee's hit documentary film "King Rocker" this band is authentically independent, mightily resilient and a genuine breath of fresh air in the current climate of stupid, stifling and soft rock n roll.
“Their performances will serve to confirm their excellence when we are far enough distanced from the 1980’s to look at the period rationally and other, infinitely better known, bands stand revealed as charlatans” - John Peel
“The misfits’ misfits” - Jon Robb

Fans and critics alike acknowledge that 48 years on the Nightingales are better than ever. They continue to release exciting, singular records - including new flexi 45 "Hand Me My Backside" - but the real depth and true worth of the group is found in their exceptional live performances.
Now, the trusted, long standing, quartet have been joined by super viola player Natalie Mason and the Fab Five will be on tour in 2027, presenting a new selection of songs from their most recent recordings and wonderful, extensive back catalogue.
Due to illness and other assorted dollops of bad fortune the group has not been ultra-active on stage for the last couple of years but are now revved up, unabashed and brimful of vigor for 2027.
