Brighten The Corners, ESF & CANVVS Present: Rhythm + SOLE – A Sneaker Customisation Workshop for Young Creatives.
Brighten The Corners, Ed Sheeran Foundation, and CANVVS are proud to present Rhythm + Sole, an immersive sneaker customisation workshop designed to inspire young creatives and introduce them to industry pathways in art, design, and music.
Creativity is a powerful tool for change, and BTC and CANVVS believe in harnessing it to build brighter futures. That’s why they are proud to partner with the Ed Sheeran Foundation to open doors for young people eager to explore careers in artistic industries. This initiative bridges the gap between artistic expression and real-world opportunities, providing participants with valuable skills, mentorship, and industry insights that empower them to pursue their passions.
For young people aged 11-18, this hands-on experience will allow participants to design and customise their own sneakers using BL_NK CANVVS sneakers and POSCA pens, under the expert guidance of renowned sneaker artist Starline Customs and local visual artist Benny Brown. The workshop blends creativity with career-building insights, introducing new opportunities in fashion, streetwear, and music industry branding.

Benny Brown is an Artist, Illustrator and designer, living and working in Suffolk, UK.
After graduating from Middlesex University in 2014 with BA hons in Illustration, Benny has worked with a vast number of businesses and brands globally over the last 10 years. Creating a portfolio of work ranging from murals, logos, original paintings, digital artwork and more.
Benny’s artwork uses adult themes and personal subject matter as a commentary on life, which is often hidden just under the surface of playful, fun and innocent style imagery. His unique style has developed from keeping a visual diary. Using drawing as a way of reflecting and documenting life - these sketchbook drawings and ideas are then taken and used to create his personal artwork in the form of original paintings, prints, stickers, caps and a whole lot more! This way of working allowed Benny’s style to develop into the Benny’s Yard brand as it’s known today.
In 2022 Benny repurposed a double decker bus into an Art Gallery and Studio located at Beach Street, Felixstowe. Inviting other local artists to exhibit and sell their work alongside his own. This shared gallery space is run and managed by Benny, whilst working on commissions and various projects in his studio upstairs.
