Mercer is set to release her debut album 'Read Aloud' on September 18th, 2026, along with her first UK tour.
Her sound blends indie-pop hooks, jazz-inspired harmony and classic piano songwriting into something nostalgic, off-centre, and quietly sincere. Distinctive contralto vocals sit among rich keys and smooth grooves, creating a warm, sophisticated sound with a softly lo-fi, DIY edge. A sharp and playful lyricist, Mercer lays her cards on the table, sharing lessons learned the hard way and celebrating our shared weirdness. Threaded with dry humour - awkward, self-aware and surprisingly disarming - her songs offer up a messy humanity with a lot of heart.
