Brighten The Corners Festival 2025 marked one of its most successful editions to date, attracting thousands of attendees who filled the town to enjoy over 70 live performances across seven venues. The line-up showcased a rich mix of talent, from regional acts such as Eve’s Delight, Sam Milne, AFTERDRIVE, and Jaded Teeth, to nationally acclaimed artists including DEADLETTER, Dry Cleaning, Bob Vylan, and Westside Cowboy.

Brighten The Corners Festival 2025 highlighted the region’s talent and vibrancy, shining a spotlight on this corner of the country and showcasing the town as a destination for live music.

Building on this momentum, and with plans for even more ambitious projects in the pipeline, organisers have confirmed that the festival will take a short break in 2026 before returning in 2027. This pause will allow the team to channel their energy and resources into continuing to deliver an ongoing programme of live music and education opportunities across their three venues as well as new large-scale initiatives while ensuring that Brighten The Corners Festival can continue to grow in ambition, scope, and impact when it returns.

The Brighten The Corners team have confirmed that planning is already underway for a number of exciting new projects in 2026 that will further enhance the town’s reputation as a hub for music, culture, and the arts.

Speaking on this announcement, Festival Programmer Marcus Neal says “We have made the difficult decision that the festival should take a break in 2026 and return in 2027. As you can understand, this wasn’t an easy choice, particularly after riding the post-festival high and with such positive feedback from audiences, artists and the wider industry. This pause will allow us to focus on some really exciting things across 2026 but we're excited to be bringing the festival back in 2027.”

Brighten The Corners Festival will return on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 June 2027. Festival organisers are encouraging audiences to save the date, with sign-ups now open for first access to a limited batch of super early bird tickets.
