Robin Torbitt
Robin Torbitt is an alternative folk artist based in Suffolk. His thoughtful songs are grounded in a love for the folk songwriters of the 1970s, whilst blending in contemporary flavours of alternative rock and evocative production. As his own producer, Robin skilfully combines his knowledge of songwriting and sound to create work where there is creativity and individuality to be found in each layer.
Robin was named winner of The Milkmaid Folk Songwriting Competition (2024) and shortlisted for the Tune Into Nature Music Prize (2026). Robin raised £1000 in Aid of War Child UK in partnership with Hot Vox (2025). So far Robin has released two studio albums; his latest work ‘TRuTh’ (2025) is a journey exploring the eponymous theme through his personal life, society and the online space.
Robin has performed solo at venues such as Cambridge Junction, The John Peel Centre and Hyde Park Book Club. On the 13th September 2025 Robin took to the stage with a full band to headline The Barrel Sessions in celebration of ‘TRuTh’.
